Gentlemen, it is time to get serious about watches. That time piece that you have on your wrist has served you well, for sure. But you are successful, so you need to look successful too.
And few male fashion accessories say that you’ve arrived like a high-end watch.
A show-stopping watch is much more than an elegant teller of time, it is a social statement punctuated with an exclamation point. It is a shout in a room full of whispers. It is a man among boys.
But don’t kid yourself if you are financially challenged at the moment – high-end watches are very expensive. The two watched featured here are close to $10,000 new. Did that get your attention?
But there is a silver lining in that most of the high-end watches do hold a good portion of their value. Some have even increased in value, making a luxury watch purchase a potential wise investment and a fashion statement.
Here are two of our current favorites:
Breitling Chronomat B01 Two-Tone Stainless Steel and 18kt Rose Gold
This great-looking watch is not your standard power-metal piece, which is why it is such a winner in our book. Inspired by the space race, this gleaming stunner looks its opulent best in steel and rose gold (standard non-gold version pictured above).
This watch is 41 mm in diameter and features “a screw-locked crown and pushpieces,” according to the manufacturer. A range of straps or bracelets are also available.

Zenith New Vintage 1965
This beautiful watch is more than a time teller, it is a time machine. Go back a few-plus decades and relive the glory of 1965. You remember the sixties right? The space race. Hippies. Communists. Assasinations. You know, all the good stuff.
Actually the Zenith New Vintage ’65 throwback is one of the better looking watches going. It is classic, thin and sleek and square-faced. It features an 18kt white gold case and a strap made of alligator.
