There are over five hundred million dogs in existence at this very moment. The USA, with the most dogs in ownership, have around 73 million dogs as personal pets. Most other countries have easily under 7 million. What does that mean for the rest of the dog population? A whole lot of strays, that’s what. Not to mention the fact the America alone spends over forty billion dollars on dog food each year. Perhaps we need to raise awareness on adoption, but are pets really that good for society these days? One could argue both sides, but where do you lie?
