This Artist Turned a Sidewalk In Brooklyn Into a Perfect Marriage Proposal Spot

By Anne Cacherell

NYC based artist Jason Bettman is known for his “Set in the Street” project which started in December. This involves building indoor room sets right on the streets of New York City.

He received a letter from a young man in love named, Jose Luis, who learned about Bettman’s project from New York Magazine. Jose Luis was asking for his help to propose to his girlfriend. Without hesitations, Bettman accepted the plea.

He then designed a lovely set in Williamsburg, where the couple had their first date. Jose Luis’ girlfriend thought that she was just at the location to participate in a photo shoot. She didn’t know about the proposal plan until he got down on one knee and popped the question.

Bettman was able to capture the whole “picture perfect” moment for all the people to see.

The whole set is surreal but nice, right? What type of you would you like to use for your proposal? Be creative and share with us your thoughts.
