Dads of Denver, Colorado gathered one awesome evening at Envogue Salon for an event called “Beer and Braids.” This brilliant activity opens an opportunity for fathers to bond with their daughters by learning how to brush, untangle and style their girls’ hair. Moreover, since men are surrounded with other guys in the same situation, it becomes easier for these dads to take in the one-hour course.
Every dad with a daughter has to learn one of the basic parenting skills called “hairstyling.”
For $55, the salon offers dads one-on-one hairdressing lessons, a beer treat and snacks and drinks for their daughters.
At the end of the night, Salon owner Calli Hueble-Bodilis also came up with a runway show for the kids and the father who did the best hair wins a six-pack of beer.
Dads not only made their wives and other clients happy but most importantly, their little girls as well.
It’s nice to see fathers getting more involved and taking more responsibility in the household care and childcare these days. Our communities need more of these types of events, don’t you think? Feel free to leave your comments below.
