Deeply fascinated by the natural occurrences in nature, video artists Friedrich Van Schoor and Tarek Mawad spent 6 weeks in the woods and filmed their project called, Bioluminescent Forest. In this short film, they have accentuated the beauty of nature by making the trees, leaves, mushrooms and even toads glow and burn. These artists used special light effects called Projection Mapping, a technology used to create extra dimensions, optical illusions and notions of movements on to static objects.
Watch the video to see how they turned an ordinary forest into a surreal display that combines natural phenomenon and technological effects.
The fantastic combination of the technique used and the skills these artists have made this video absolutely breathtaking. Do you find this creation mind blowing? Tell us what’s on your mind.
