When I started writing, it was just to fill in my time and to earn a little extra income while I took a break from the corporate world.
One day, I received a message from a friend, thanking me for writing this article about marriage and how it inspired him to save his own. He also told me how envious he was of my newly found career because I was helping a lot people and inspiring them to become better.
After that, I decided to make writing my full-time job. I also took it more seriously and made a commitment to myself that I would continue to make a positive difference in the world.
To help you do the same, here are some simple modifications that you can do on your own.
Always Start Your Day Right
Do you normally start your day with some sense of excitement, or do you always wake up feeling stressed out? Are you the type who takes mornings seriously or are you always in a rush to run out the door?
Raised by a family of farmers, I have always been an early bird. When I was a kid, I usually woke up around 3-4am to study for school in advance, even on weekends, and help my mother do some household chores. To make this happen, I suggest you try this motto out:
“The Day Begins When You Go to Bed”
I believe that the key to having a bright morning is having a good bedtime ritual. When you get enough sleep, you also have a well-rested mind and body to put you in a positive mood to carry you throughout the rest of the day.
In the piece “3 Steps to Perfect Mornings, More Productive Days and a Happier Life,” writer Daniel Dipiazza explains how purposefully designing a bedtime ritual and waking up early can help you set the stage up for success.
Banning screens such as computers, phones and TV’s at least an hour before going to bed, doing some deep breathing and meditation and tracking your sleep every single day, will allow you to wake up rested and refreshed with added bonus of clarity and focus to get way more done in your day.
Don’t Turn Your Relationship Into Some Cheap Gossip
A couple of years ago, I overheard a friend of mine saying this to my other friend, “Remember, if it is not on Facebook, it’s not official,” in reference to his relationship status. At the time I thought it was a very powerful statement, until I experienced changing my status from single to “In a relationship” and then changing it back again to single after my relationship failed. After that, I thought it was stupid.
Posting your personal life on social media including details about your arguments, or bragging about how happy your love life is every chance you get, or ranting about your partner’s shortcomings or bad behavior is just so socially disturbing in the sense that it can make others feel bad about themselves.
Keep Your Life & Relationship Private
According to new research, TMI love shots or lovey-dovey pics that are being shared on social media are caused by a condition called “relationship contingent self-esteem” (RCSE) or a combination of very low self-esteem and very high social anxiety.
Guys, I am not saying this because I’m anti-relationship or I’m accusing these types of couples of being pretentious. It’s just that it’s totally unnecessary, it doesn’t prove anything and you may want to be a little considerate about other people’s feelings.
Also, being a couple is all about growing together, forgetting all the bull-crap and doing what makes your relationship better, with or without sharing your status to the whole community.
Eat Better, Feel better
You should maintain and nurture your well-being by observing a healthy lifestyle.
Think of your body as a machine. If you fuel it up with high-quality food and you condition it by exercising regularly, then you can be sure that it will perform well. However, if you’re putting the opposite in it like junk foods and have unhealthy habits such as smoking, excessive alcohol intake or physical inactivity, then it’s bound to malfunction in no time.

Aside from boosting your mind and body, a combination of these plants can also boost your energy centers and bring you unparalleled power to connect with energetic realms and improve your psychic ability.
We all have a universal responsibility to take care of our planet and its natural resources.
In the piece “Here’s How Your Daily Life Can Help Change the World,” USAFeaturesMedia explains why we need to make major changes in our lives and awaken our sense of responsibility.
The world is in crisis because our current way of life is causing harm to the planet we live in. Though many people would argue that it comes with progress, we can’t just shut ourselves off from the sad realities happening around us such as pollution, typhoon and other natural calamities.
You can make a difference by living responsibly and by being more environmentally conscious. A simple of act of keeping your surrounding clean, conserving energy and recycling can help reverse the cycle of abuse and lack of respect to nature.
