Shouldn’t Space Exploration be a Bigger Deal for All of Us?

By Richard K. Noots

You know who wouldn’t ever have to worry about overpopulation? Space-faring races, that’s who. Anyway, a really big deal in the world of Space-related news is the Rosetta Comet Mission. You see, comets are remnants of the days when our Solar System first formed. They’re the bits of planets that got left out, and now hurdle through our galaxy. So the object of this mission is to not only doing a fly-by of the comet to gather data like we’ve done before, but to use a lander named Philae to collect even more data from its surface. What could lay in wait in this 4.5 billion year old time capsule?
