Mark Pocan: Family man, Congressman, Magician?

Richard K. Noots

I’ll tell you, Congress would be a lot more interesting if more politicians were like Mark Pocan. After being inspired to get into politics from a incident were he was beaten for being himself, he dedicated his life to helping people. While most people may not understand how politics work, Mark sets out to ease the people’s troubles. Plus, he knows magic! In this video he explains his former business through the art of card tricks. Interested? I know I am.

This guy is amazing. I watched it twice to see if I could see how he did it, but no luck. I wish more politicians were as interesting as he seems to be.

They may not all be as interesting and personable, but one thing most politicians have in common is their skill at sleight of hand tricks.

  3. Patrick says:

He seems like a decent guy, doing his best to help people and bring a little light into people’s lives. as for the trick – I think the secret is connected to his tapping on the cards.

I agree with you on this one. I don’t think he is a slimy as some others in politics. He actually looks like he tries to help people out.

I watched it twice and I can’t figure it out. I was never good at figuring out magic though. He seems pretty cool. I would vote for him.

I have always had a hard time figuring out magic tricks. I watched this a couple of times and still no luck at figuring out how he made those cards work. It would be cool if more Politicians were like him. I think it would make Congress more interesting.

Politics would sure be a lot more interesting if some politicians could
pull some magic tricks out of their hats. He seems like a nice guy and
has a decent sense of humor. I wonder if he does his tricks at work?

I agree. He seems to come across as a friendly guy. Politicians should be more like him, he seems approachable. He doesn’t have the cold, what can I sell you attitude some politicians give off.
