Retired US veteran, Bronze Star medalist and Purple Heart recipient Erich Orrick came home after 21 years of service in the army but his mission to help his community didn’t stop there. In 2009, he co-founded Wish for our Heroes, a national tax-exempt non-profit organization, whose mission is to assist men and women of the United States active-duty military.

To demonstrate their deep gratitude and support to this war hero, Indianapolis Colt Players Pat McAfee and Coby Fleener, in collaboration with hhgregg, gave him the surprise of a lifetime. They orchestrated an elaborate plan to send Orrick and his 2 daughters to a charity event in Chicago. While they were away, these NFL stars redesigned his home with new pieces of furniture and kitchen appliances.

Watch the video to see Orrick’s amazement when he arrived and see the awesome home makeover.
