Muhammad Ali, or Cassius Clay, was once picked for the dodge like many other people of his day. What did he do? Refused, of course! No one ever tells Ali what to do. Staunch in his refusal to participate in a conflict he did not believe in, the Government ended up banning him from the one thing he truly loved: Boxing. Stripped of his title, and unable to make money, Ali traveled to colleges giving speeches on matters of importance. Here, he’s reflecting on what happened to him, and why he did what he did. He may not be the best role model, but he was a good man, deep down.
